Compassion Benefit Outreach

Square One decides in 2003 to change our events presentation. We felt directed to do benefit events for evangelism giving all offerings and product sales to help abused women around the world for the next ten years.

We have set aside on event a month for the cause of helping Islamic women in Afghanistan received education and start their own businesses. We are directing all funds rose directly to Mercy Corps program to help the women in Afghanistan .

Whitefield, Wesley and the likes of ST. Patrick and Francis of Assisi all began to include compassionate care and fund raising in their efforts to Christianize there de-Christianized cultures. We have seen in their examples a model we had to follow.

The events are geared toward apologetic communication through Doug's speaking, video and media and world-class music. Doug includes an interactive QA segment at the end of the evening. We limit the evening to 65 minutes. You can listen to our message corner for one of Doug's messages in outreach mode.

Part of the e evening is a video or personal presentation of a five minutes on the Afghani project by Mercy Corp. Then and offering is received for the project. The money is counted during the vent. Then a check is presented that night to Mercy Corp not Square One.

The compassionate outreach works through him following outline:

1. Hosts contact us through mail or internet or phone.

2. We discuss the compatibility of the event with the local church.

3. the church underwrites three airfares, and commits to promotions.

4. The event is prepared for ...team arrives a day ahead.

5. The event occurs... outside a small admistnrative fee the money to cover the event is raised form donors to Square One.

Doug closes the evening with an invitatiion perfectly suited for post-modern sensitive.

This event is a terrific opportunity for your church to reach lost people and to demonstrate Christian love and concern toward abused women who have lived under the heavy and harsh hand of Islam.
